Integrated Production

In Navarra, there are more and more farmers and cattle rearers that are chosing a form of production that prioritises methods that most care for the ecosystem, thinking about and arguing for agro-chemical products that aim to heighten protection of the environment and human health.

Integrated production of farm products is regulated in Navarra by the Decreto Foral 143/1997 and other complementary arrangements. Since them the Foral Government has passed eighteen binding orders that refer to integrated production in Navarra and has approved eight specific technical rulings that affect fifteen types of crops: white asparagus, cauliflower, broccoli, lettuce, sprouts, curly lettuce, rice, artichokes, stoned fruits (peach and nectarines) pipped fruits (pear and apple), tomato and transformed industrial tomato.
